A harmadéves bábszínész osztály előadása Nathanaelnek, a német romantika forró szenvedélyű hősének világa gyökeresen felfordul, mikor visszatér életébe megszállottságig hajszolt gyerekkori rémképe: a Homokember. A Homokember, aki kitépi a rossz gyerekek szemét, elveszi tőlük akaratukat, megszállja testüket, lelküket. Vajon a Homokember tényleg létező személy, aki Nathanael apjának haláláért is felelős? Vagy csak a fiú lázas agyának szüleménye? Vajon Nathanael is apja sorsára jut? Vagy szerelme, a józan Clara képes lesz megmenteni őt? Mindenkinek vannak álmai, mindenkinek vannak félelmei. De mit tennénk mi, ha a megelevenedett rémálmunk kopogtatna az ajtón?

There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
