Élt a messzi középkorban, a távoli Olaszországban egy nagy erejű lovag, aki kalandvágyában nekiindult, és a még távolabbi Jeruzsálembe ment csatázni. Ha ő egyszer dühbe jött, nem kímélt senkit, keresztülgázolt mindenkin, aki útjába állt, még azokon is, akik szerették. Dühösségénél csak büszkesége volt nagyobb, így aztán őrült és lehetetlen fogadást kötött. Hogy pontosan milyet is? A színházban megtudjátok. És hogy sikerült-e véghezvinnie a lehetetlent? Ott kiderül az is.

The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
