A népszerű Diótörő eredeti és jazz-es változatát egy este, két zenekar előadásában hallhatjuk december 19-én.
A mesebalett zenéjéből készült kilenc tételes szvit megihlette az amerikai jazz legnagyobb alakját, Duke Ellingtont, aki Bill Strayhorn társszerzővel a „jazz nyelvére” ültette át az orosz alkotó művét. A klasszikus alkotás jellegzetességeit megtartó big band zenét komponáltak, megtartva a mű gazdag dallamvilágát, hangszerelését és játékos humorát.
A különlegesnek ígérkező zenét azok figyelmébe ajánljuk, akik a Diótörő balett rajongóiként merőben új megközelítésben szeretnék újra hallgatni az örökzöld dallamokat.
Műsor:
Csajkovszkij - Duke Ellington: A Diótörő
Sosztakovics: II. Jazz Szvit
vezényel: Dubóczky Gergely

Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
