Johann Strauss: A cigánybáró
Ifj. Johann Strauss egyik legnépszerűbb műve, A cigánybáró a Jókai200 emlékév keretében kerül színpadra a Budapesti Operettszínházban. A darab 1885-ben, a Theater an der Wienben aratott először sikert, amikor a zeneszerző Ignaz Schnitzer librettójára komponálta meg nagyszabású operettjét Jókai Mór Szaffi című elbeszélése nyomán. A történet kincsek és kalandok világába vezeti a közönséget, ahol szenvedély, romantika és fordulatok váltják egymást, mindezt a cigányzene tüzes ritmusa, a csárdás elevensége és a keringő varázslatos dallamai szövik át. A mű azonnal a halhatatlan nagyoperettek sorába emelkedett, népszerűsége azóta is töretlen, hiszen egyszerre ígér felejthetetlen szórakozást és gazdag zenei élményt. Az előadás különleges színházi látványvilággal, Bozsik Yvette Kossuth-díjas alkotó rendezésében valósul meg, méltó módon ünnepelve ifj. Johann Strauss és Jókai Mór születésének 200. évfordulóját.
Our offer
Pairing the two German composers, Wagner and the Wagnerian Strauss in a single evening creates a sweeping and overwhelming fusion of expansive melodies and driving dramatic force. The encounter between Wagner’s mythical intensity and Strauss’s modernism is a dialogue between two musical giants who reshaped not only German but also international musical life. In the performance of the OPERA Orchestra, their compositions promise deep emotions, dense musical textures, and sonic grandeur.
Radina Dace / Léo Delibes Little Coppélia Children’s production for little ones, with English subtitles
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
