„Létezik–e egyáltalán halálos szerelem, vagy csak dédmamáink meséiben? Szokatlan történet, szokatlan válaszokkal!!!” (Dávid Zsuzsa, rendező) Ásvaynét egy nap féltékeny férje hajdani riválisa karjai közt találja. A fiatalasszony ártatlan, ám ura nem hisz neki, ezért elhagyja. Ásvayné, mintha mi sem történt volna, továbbra is mindennap terített asztallal, friss vízzel, kedvenc szivarjaival várja férjét. Így nő fel gyermekük, az ő gyermekei és a dédunokák. A második részben ugrunk bő hatvan évet… Az asszonyt szeretet övezi, s rég megszokták rögeszméjét, amihez rendíthetetlenül ragaszkodik.
