Ásvaynét egy nap féltékeny férje hajdani riválisa karjai közt találja. A fiatalasszony ártatlan, ám ura nem hisz neki, ezért elhagyja.
Ásvayné, mintha mi sem történt volna, továbbra is mindennap terített asztallal, friss vízzel, kedvenc szivarjaival várja férjét. Így nő fel gyermekük, az ő gyermekei és a dédunokák.
A második részben ugrunk bő hatvan évet…
Az asszonyt szeretet övezi, s rég megszokták rögeszméjét, amihez rendíthetetlenül ragaszkodik. Csakhogy egy nap váratlanul betoppan, egy férfi, aki a megszólalásig hasonlít Ásvayra…

Our offer
The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes. The piano afternoons and matinees are for them, about them, and inspired by them.
Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.

Following on the heels of the introductory Das Rheingold, this opera about the tragic love between two of Wotan's children constitutes the start of the more tightly drawn dramatic trilogy. Once again, the laws of the gods clash: can paternal love save a lad who has violated the sanctity of marriage?
