A bűnügyet felderíteni kívánó vizsgálóbíró Camille Sevigné fiatal pályakezdő, tapasztalatlan és kellő rutin nélkül lát munkához. Viszont nagy az ambíciója, szeretne feljebb lépni a hivatali ranglétrán. A címszereplő bolond lányról azonban kiderül, hogy nem visel bugyit és féktelenül jókedvű, valamint zavarba ejtően szókimondó, nem könnyíti meg a vizsgálóbíró dolgát.
