A nagy sikerű Jövőre, veled, ugyanitt című darab folytatásában – a fiatal és a középkor első évtizedei után – tovább követhetjük Doris és George történetét. A titkos szeretők nem mindennapi szerelme kiállta az idők próbáját. Öröm és bánat, születés és halál, betegség és egészség egyaránt szegélyezte kapcsolatuk rögös útját. Külön világban és más helyzetben zajló életük, évente csupán egyszer, egy hétvége erejéig kapcsolódik össze egy szállodai szoba falai között, immár évtizedek óta. Lehet, hogy pont ez a kapcsolatuk tartósságának titka? Az idő múlását azonban ők sem úszhatják meg.
