A Macskazene egy békés ebéddel kezdődik: Pacarel cukorgyáros bejelenti, hogy operaénekest szeretne szerződtetni, aki majd elénekli lánya operáját a párizsi operaházban, az új Faustot… De a híres tenor helyett, egy sajnálatos félreértés nyomán, egy jogi egyetemi tanulmányait épp megkezdő fiatalembert szerződtet. A jogászaspiráns azonban egyáltalán nem tud énekelni. Innentől a házban őrületes szerelmi viszonyok kavarognak, senki sem tudja, ki kit szeret, ki kinek udvarol, mindenkinek tetszik valaki, de folyamatosan félreértésekbe bonyolódnak, a jogász fiatalembernek pedig úton-útfélen mégis énekelnie kell.

The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes.
