NOËL COWARD: Forgószínpad
vígjáték
A Turay Ida Színház előadása

Angliában vagyunk, London mellett.

A Forgószínpad elnevezésű színészotthon nappalijában szoktak teázni, kötögetni, kártyázni a hajdani színésznők, az otthon lakói. Egy napon beköltözik Lotta, a valamikori híres díva. Itt él egykori riválisa, May, akivel harminc éve haragban vannak, s az enyhén szólva bolondos Sarita is, aki piromániás kísérleteivel többször kelt riadalmat, sőt szobáját is sikerül felgyújtania. A tragikai pózokban tetszelgő Mary, a csípősnyelvű Cora, az otthon katonás igazgatónője, a jólelkű titkárfiú, az újságírónő és a többiek sorsa mind összefonódik Noël Coward vígjátékában.

Our offer

As it is a latent Kodály season, it seems only fitting that the concert at the OPERA honouring the events of 1956 should feature works by the composer. In that same year, the short-lived Revolutionary Council of Hungarian Intellectuals elected him as its president. Throughout his entire oeuvre, Kodály consistently reinforced Hungarian national identity. The programme gains both colour and a ceremonial character from the hymn-like and dance-infused compositions of his middle and later years.

A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. To request a tour in other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Greece and Hungarian), please get in touch with the OperaTour team. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.

János Hunyadi is responsible for the tolling of bells around the world; Mátyás Hunyadi is the hero of a string of folk tales; László Hunyadi inspired “only” an opera.
