A minden korosztálynak mondanivalóval szolgáló darabban két egyedül élő idős asszony hétköznapjai egymás szomszédságában: álmodoznak, ábrándoznak a múltról, a jelenről és a jövőről. Különös függésben élnek egymással.
Apró-cseprő gondjaik között sorozatgyilkosság hírét hallják a rádióban. A hírek szerint a gyilkos gázszerelőnek öltözve szedi női áldozatait, miután erőszakot követ el rajtuk. A hölgyek fantáziáját felcsigázza a hír. Csöngetnek egyikük lakásán és megjelenik egy magát gázszerelőnek bemutató figura. A bizarr helyzetben kezdetét veszi a még bizarrabb komédia...
Aziz Nesin (eredeti neve: Mehmet Nusret, Törökország, 1915. – 1995 ) híres török író és humorista, több mint 100 könyv szerzője. Miután több éven keresztül tisztviselőként szolgált, később egy szatirikus folyóirat szerkesztője lett. Politikai nézetei miatt többször ült börtönben, illetve az Állami Biztonsági Szolgálat (törökül: MAH) felügyelet alá helyezte.

Once again, the laws of the gods clash: can paternal love save a lad who has violated the sanctity of marriage?
