A Túlélő főhőse egy zuhanó repülőgép pilótafülkéjében meséli el történetét a fekete doboznak. A „Lenni vagy nem lenni” kérdéskör sajátos körbejárása. Egy féktelen, szuicid akció, melyhez a fogyasztói társadalom, a tömegkultúra, a vallási biznisz és a civilizáció összes agyréme vezetett.
