Benjamin Südel középiskolai tanuló először csak a kötelező úszásoktatáson való részvételt tagadja meg, később azonban egyre furcsábban viselkedik az iskolában. Édesanyja arra gyanakszik, fia drogozni kezdett, Benjamin azonban valójában a vallási téboly áldozatává vált. Állandóan a Bibliát olvassa, melynek tanításait sajátos fanatizmusának igazolására használja, valamint arra, hogy osztálytársai és osztályfőnöke ellen forduljon. Utóbbi, aki biológia szakos tanárnőként szexuális felvilágosító órákat tart, a fiú „elsőszámú ellenségévé” válik...
