Victoria imád férjhez menni. Férje, Bill, hősi halált hal az I. világháborúban. A fiatalon megözvegyült Viktória újra férjhez megy, mégpedig elhunyt férje barátjához, Freddiehez. Idáig szokványos a történet. De mi történik akkor, ha az “elhunyt” első férj egyszer csak hazaállít? Mi történik akkor, amikor kiderül, Victoria már Freddie felesége? Kié legyen Victoria? Hogyan oldják meg ezt a nem mindennapi problémát?
