És tényleg... szerelmes férfiak röpködnek a fogadóban, mint lepkék a gyertyaláng körül. Egyetlen kivétel van csupán, Ripafratta lovag, aki a szép fogadósnőt észre sem veszi, és ez annyira felbosszantja Mirandolinát, hogy elhatározza: elcsábítja, kikészíti, térdre kényszeríti a híres nőgyűlölőt. Veszélyes szórakozás... Veszélyes dolog játszani a tűzzel: a végén lángra lobban minden és fölperzselődik...
